Isoenzyme lactate dehydrogenase 5 (LDH-5) contains four
muscle (M) subunits, which is predominantly expressed in the liver and striated
muscle, and is crucial for pushing anaerobic glycolysis. A high LDH-5 content
in tumor cells is directly related to an up-regulated HIF pathway and is linked
with an aggressive phenotype in some cancers.The Human LDH-5 ELISA Kit is designed to quantify natural or
recombinant human LDH-5 in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant and body or
lavage fluid.
